In 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit California, Yosemite closed. Durning that time the park which is usually very busy was empty. On June 11th Yosemite National Park reopened to people who had reservations in the park.
We couldn't wait to get there and safely see our favorite places. This was my second trip to the park and it was amazing to see the park less than half full. At the most crowded, busy, insane traffic points of the park there was no one around. Maybe a few other lucky locals who came to visit because they could.
It was very special and I can't wait to go back.
